- The Certification Counsel for Professional Dog Trainers: Earned Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed credential (CPDT-KA) - The Certification Counsel for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) is dedicated to promoting safe and effective dog training through establishing and measuring the level of knowledge and skills a professional trainer has via an examination. You must continue your professional growth in the practice of dog training with continuing education units approved by the counsel to keep your certification,

- The Family Dog: (Stop the 77 Presenter) - When 50% of our children are being bitten by a dog by the time they are 12 years old and 77% of bites come from their family or a friend’s dog – that’s an opportunity for education that anyone who loves kids or dogs simply cannot ignore. They’re staggering statistics and ones I want to help change – that’s why I present the Stop the 77 programs of "I Speak Doggie" for preschool aged children and "Dog Stars" geared for elementary aged children.
- The Pet Professional Guild: (Full Member Dog Training Professional): The Pet Professional Guild's goal is to further the public’s education and awareness of force-free dog training techniques and pet care methods with the most current research in dog training and pet care.
- Fear Free Certified Professional: The Fear Free Certification Program was developed by “America’s Veterinarian,” Dr. Marty Becker, the Fear Free initiative aims to “take the ‘pet’ out of ‘petrified’” and get pets back for veterinary visits by promoting considerate approach and gentle control techniques in calming environments. Utilization of Fear Free methods and protocols leads to reduction or removal of anxiety triggers, which creates an experience that is rewarding and safer for all involved, including pets, their owners, and veterinary health care teams. The end result? Calmer, more accepting patients, more compliant clients, and better veterinary care.
Continuing Education and Training in Progress
- The Academy Husbandry Project - This is a pilot project working collaboratively with veterinary clinics to test training plans that will teach dogs to be relaxed and cooperative during routine veterinary procedures. When the project is completed, the revised training plans will be finalized and formatted in owner-friendly language.
