One-on-One In-Person
In-Person dog training with a technology boost
All new clients start with a live one-on-one online behavior consultation. After the initial online behavior consultation, we may move to in-person sessions at one of our partner veterinary clinics during their closed hours (See the wonderful clinic spaces we utilize!) or at your home if you are in our service area (see map).

Our goal is to bring you understanding and relief asap. Technology allows us to do just that! Our training begins with an online consultation. This allows us to discuss your dog's history, hone in on the context the behaviors are occurring followed by your training goals.
From there, we will explain the motivation behind your dog’s behaviors, how they learn, and how to put our evidence-based guidance to work with them positively to achieve your goals. Armed with your management and training plans from our online behavior consultation, we then continue with custom packages designed around your lifestyle and training needs.

We are known for and referred to by veterinarians and colleagues for our specialization in helping families and their companions with fear, aggression, reactivity and phobias including isolation distress/separation anxiety to experience less stress and more joy.

During our initial online session:

After you have put your new techniques and plans to work, we then continue with either in-person or online sessions. We highly recommend 7 to 10 days between sessions. This gives you time to practice while ensuring we are there to guide you through to success with the techie bits that matter, like timing and motivation values.
After each session:
- You receive an easy-to-follow summary outlining your personalized training plan.
- We provide accompanying detailed handouts with more in-depth information to help you meet your training goals.
Between the sessions:
- You and your companion will take on your homework assignments together.
- You can send video of yourself and your dog in action to get extra coaching on your timing and mechanics.
- We provide email support if you get stuck before our next session.
- You will have access to our curated "clients resources" section of the site.

P.S.A. We do NOT need to see your dog's fearful or aggressive behavior to help! In fact, our goal is to not put your dog in a situation where they feel the need to display these behaviors. As formally education behavior consultants with extensive hands-on experience we know all to well what it looks like and how to help!
Do not be hesitant about bringing your companion to one of our partner clinics! The spaces we have available for indoor training is very spacious and comfortable. Plus for outdoor work, our clinics act as our home base before hitting the streets. Each have neighborhoods perfect for practicing a variety of skills. We will help you pick the one best suited to your needs.
Utilizing our clinic locations allows us to pass our savings on travel expenses to clients. In-home sessions are reserved by trainer approval. Such cases for approval include but are not limited to dogs with car phobia that we are working on together, extreme fear of novelty including new environments and intra-home dog-dog cases.
Many variables affect training length. We are dedicated to humane science-based methods that are both efficient and effective. Estimates given are based on the dog's prior learning history, how long the problem behavior has been occurring, genetics and client skill, diligence, availability and management. We cannot guarantee that behavior modification for your dog can be completed in the time frame of the package you purchase.
